Just have my first surgery ever... still feeling some pain but everything's fine now, hopefully =P

My chest pain started 2 nights ago when I was hypered and jumping around... y? because I was mad that I could not catch up with the A capella's practises-- i can't read those lines... I kept jumping around and finally made Joanne get mad a me too. Just then, a sharp pain coming out from my left chest. wow, it hurts. First I thought it was just muscle pain and so I rest my body on the bed. And it was ok too except when I walked around. But then yesterday morning when I walked from my apartment to campus, which is just 3 minutes of walk, I felt like I had problem breathing and the pain became severe. I was like, holy crap, something's really wrong. Walking upstairs with chest pain and difficulty in breathing was such a good experience in Upson, lol. So I decided to go to Gannett after my econ prelim. But then guess what? it took me 15 minutes to walk from Philips to Goldman Smith! It should have been a 7 minute walk! That's y I was late for the prelim and so I fried it like crappy mushroom =P

After lunch, I finally went to gannett. They asked me to take 3 x-rays and then a cardiogram (i can't spell it). And after a 3 hr diagnosis, they said I got a phernutherom (oh i can't spell it again). General speaking, it was a collapsed left lung, in which 30% of my left lung was deteched from the chest wall. That's why that 30% of thelung was deflated and so I couldn't breathe normally. The doctor was like, wow, u could still stand and walk like normal, which was pretty good and lucky. So then they referred my to hospital to another doctor and surgeon. The surgeon keep talking to me about the grammars and stuff of Asian languages, haha. He inserted a tube into my chest to pump the excess air out so that spaces are created for my lung to re-expand. The tube is still in my chest now and will be removed on Wednesday, if lucky.

So I asked another nurse if this is common among ppl. She said it happens to guys between 18-30. On average there's 1 guy going to hospital with the same defect per month. I guess I am the lucky one in April =)
