I'm well aware that the closeness in distance doesn't translate to the closeness in friendship, but I'm afraid that the opposite applies most of the time, and by that I mean friendships will start to fade as people disappear from each other's lives for months and even years on end. The most I can do for now is try my best to keep in touch, and maybe make the results less painful than what they promise to be.

I don't worry about the ones I hold very dear to my heart, because we all know that we'd never lose each other. It's the ones that stayed with me for only a bit of the ride that worry me the most, the ones that I'm friends with, but not intimate friends with. It would be such a shame, but I guess sometimes, it's almost inevitable.
