| | Had a few productive days of intensive work. I guess it's about the time to resume my routine. I'm so hopelessly lazy that I stubbornly refuse to strike the balance between work and play. These days I'm very much bewildered by the school's policy. Why are we smothered with endless projects seemingly unrelated to the subjects that only made me an expert of plagiarism? And I was just too occupied to do any revisions and is now far behind the teachings. I have no ideas how I'm gonna survive the upcoming month with tests replacing projects.
Few days ago I had the most unpleasant Physics lesson ever. There were not many unpleasant Physics lesson before, two so far. Once was when all members in my group, including me, fell into sound sleep sprawling on the table and were to face the music. I stood for half an hour listening to the doctor's nonsense. Actually I had never been awake during his lessons. This time he made us demonstrate how heat is transferred by means of conduction, in an "interactive" approach. He grasped a red kettle from a student. "This is the source of heat. It's red hot. You are particles." said the doctor while placing it in front of a student. "Vibrate! You are a praticle. Vibrate!" On the student's face was one of the most speechless look I've ever seen. "Vibrate! Vibrate!" Everyone stared, amused. The student reluctantly swayed his body a bit. Then the doctor turned to the students sitting around. They gave the same speechless look. "Okay you've cut the link already. You should all end up vibrating." Well, I must have been thrilled had the demonstration been held when I was in kindergarten.
Yesterday few classmates and I were to deliver an important item in lunchtime which would likely change one of the classmates' life forever. More precisely, it's a lot of love packed in little space. In the morning it rained buckets and we started cursing. Yet as it went closer to lunchtime, the rain got much lighter. God's mercy. Right after the bell rang we rushed to Trendy Zone in the rain. The shop wasn't open yet so we dicided to have lunch at KFC and return afterwards. Yet as we finished having lunch, the heaven opened all of a sudden. Derek left Alvin and me behind saying, "Meet you there." and was gone with Jacky. I waited for Alvin who was washing his hands and we together rushed to the shop. To our astonishment, two of them weren't there and the item was not available yet. We waited for them for another ten minutes, which was just before when we would inevitably be late. We ran all the way back to school with sweat and raindrops soaked to our very skin in just seven minutes. Gasping and perspiring, we ran back to the classroom to find out what's happened to the others. They did worry us to death as the rain was so heavy and the group so slippery. Found them and Derek said, " By saying 'Meet you there' I meant meet you at school." trying to justify his selfish act.
Went to Trendy Zone again after school to inspect the item. Disappointed. Jacky Sim had been worrying that the high quality of the item wouldn't hide what's in his deepest heart. What if she realizes it is worth so much? However, at the moment I saw the item, I said, "Your worries are gone." "Indeed." said the shop assistant, provoking our laughter. Alas, we didn't pay the sum for such a crappy thing. For two years I've visited Trendy Zone regularly, engraving loads of memories and pictures in mind, classmates and ex-classmates. After having the Maths tutorial, I left the classroom and saw an old friend waiting for me. She's as juvenile and pulchritudinous as before, reminding me the fact that I'm withering away far too quickly. How much I wish to be young once more. I do miss the happy-go-lucky lifestyle and the laughter of my previous classmates. Felt easy for a while though only had brief exchanges as time was tight. After that, I was totally overcome by the A Maths tutorial.
Fiona will be studying in City University. My uncle who was a script-writer and won the golden-house award is a lecturer of filmming there. Wondering if he would be able to get me an autograph. Last but not least, sorry for typing so much in English. It would be too time-consuming for me to do so in Chinese. |
