Monday morning spin class on two hours of sleep today.  I actually felt much better than I thought i would.  I was hungry before i left the house so i had one frosted strawberry poptart and washed it down with some gatorade.

It was a pretty good class.  We did our warmup, and then a tempo ride where the resistance varied between 5 and 6.  Then for the second half, we threw it up to as high of a resistance possible where you feel like you almost absolutly have to get up out of the saddle, but you can still keep going in the saddle.  We were working on our pedal stroke, trying to keep it as circular as possible, and using our core and lower back.  It was tough, then we ended it with a simulated fast ride (Criterium? 6, 7 resistance level) through White Plains.  That was a lot of fun.  It totally kicked my ass.  Good morning indeed!  Apparently my spin instructor got a ticket once for doing 50 in a 25 on a bike.  Haha!  One of these days i am tempted to take the bike out and ride around White Plains at the crack of dawn, just to see what it's like...

My heart rate monitor summary:   Duration: 58.25min, avg HR: 151, max HR 179 (yea...I was really workin), Calories: 494.
