Updating
Hey dudes, so i've been told I should update more, so I'll do my best. We'll see how long it lasts.
This week I've been taking pseudo-classes, getting to know professors and kind of getting a glimpse of what my classes will be like. It's been pretty good, although hard to keep from nodding off due to lack of sleep. The profs are really cool and it's evident that they really enjoy being at Mudd. In Bio, I did a lab dealing with DNA from corn in food to determine if it was genetically modified. That was fun. I don't know how many pre-frosh get to say they've done a lab working with DNA. it just sounds cool, even if it was kind of basic (to college standards, that is).
Did some random stuff during free time yesterday. I was invited to play tennis with some guys, and I was in their suite to see how long they were planning to play and if they had an extra racket, when one guy noticed the girls from my suite just randomly staring into their suite from our own suite (we have big windows that face the other suites). As I was walking out, the guys started discussing mooning the girls. I was going to attempt to get some violining in, but the girls seemed to be having a lot of fun, so I decided to hang out with them. Our mentor wanted to put up signs, so we wrote on construction paper "WE ARE WATCHING YOU", and as we did that one of the guys actually mooned us (twice). So, then we wrote "P.S. DB" (for disciplinary board, except i'm not actually sure if mooning someone is against honor code unless it really offends them). And then, our mentor thought it would be funny to write "Full Moon?" and after we did that, the same guy ran up to our window and did a butt plant on our window (I'm glad he didn't leave any marks). And then the girls went to put on big t-shirts over their clothes and "flash" the guys. It was funny. The mooner actually put his face to the window as the girls started lifting their shirts, and was disappointed when the girls revealed their shirts underneath. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a picture of their faces because the camera flashes reflected against the window. We were in the process of planning something else out, but then one of my suitemate's roommate came to visit before she set off on the pre-o hike. The event was rather amusing.
Oh yeah. We went to Venice Beach last Sunday, and two guys thought it'd be cool to put duct tape on to form letters that would be visible after tanning. One guy, the mooner, has "girl fever" written on his back (he used tanning oil to make it work). His friend has "Your Mom" in a heart on his front. He's really pale, and he didn't put sunscreen on in that area, so it is sooo red. He must be in pain, but it's funny nonetheless.
