Currently Listening
On And On
By Jack Johnson

yeah it's been awhile...

I thought I would update just in case there are some who still read my xanga page. Just so you know I am still alive. I check facebook and myspace more regularly than xanga so if you have either one of those and aren't my friend yet, look me up! So lately I have been stressed out trying to complete everything before I graduate in less than two months! I can't believe it! The post graduation plans currently are a little hazy so if you happen to know of any available graphic design positions let me know. I hope all of you are doing well!
laters,

i am tammy's tired brain

i went to six flags today and it was awesome! nonstop rollar coaster riding all day! well, we did stop for lunch and went to this moose burger place where there were these huge singing animatronic mooses, pretty sweet (and scary). my favorite ride would definitely by the tatsu because it made me feel like i was flying! i finished filming my second short film this weekend so i'm hoping it turns out alright because it was kind of thrown together at the last minute. it was supposed to be like our mini break this weekend but never really got a break...oh well. then i am just finishing an 8 page paper about Finding Neverland...i am tammy's tired brain. (I watched Fight Club the other day and I love it!)

i am tammy's eyelids almost closing

various stages of development

Well, can you believe it, I actually have something to write about. As of this week I officially have an internship!!! Well, I take that back, I actually have two internships who share me. Both are separate production companies on the Warner Bros. lot, they deal with mostly the story development part of the business. My first internship is at Thunder Road Pictures which is now in production with "We are Marshall", a movie starring Matthew McConaughey. They are also working on other projects which I can't tell you about. My
second internship is at Weed Road Pictures, the company of Akiva Goldsman
(he wrote screenplays for "the Beautiful Mind" and "Cinderella Man", among others) Right now we are "in various stages of development" (we learned in class that this is an important phrase in the film business and it was funny that my supervisor at work said this exact phrase today) with several projects involving Will Smith, but I can't tell you any more because it's top secret. Most of the movies that Weed Road makes are sci-fi/comic book/action stuff. Today I spent my first full day at Weed Road and basically watched the British version of "the Office" most of the day because they didn't have much for me to do after several starbucks runs and a lunch pickup. At the beginning of the day I felt like I was working in a hospital after weaving through doctors, nurses, and bloody patients from the ER set which is right by the building my internship is in. This weekend I had my first shoot for my short film and I feel it went pretty well, considering it was the first time I had ever done anything like that before. I am now in post production, which means I have until Thursday to edit and add music and sound. Well, sorry to make this like a book. Hope your weekend goes well! (And yes this is the same email that some of you received, I'm lazy and I didn't want to write it over again).

Well, here I am in Los Angeles and I'm lovin' it! There so much to see and do, but I probably won't have time for because I'm in class like all day! I am in the process of deciding which studio to be an intern at so if you could pray for me that would be great because there are so many choices! I probably won't start my internship for a week or two. I've been learning so much in class about filmmaking that I feel my brain is kind of fried and there's not room for anything else. I love it but yet it's stressful at the same time. It's crazy how you have to get permits and licenses for everything! And dish out a lot of money. So some of my ideas are looking a little fuzzy now. I think we're all freaked out pretty much. I'm uber excited because tomorrow we are going to the Getty (art museum) and it's going to be awesome! I miss all of you, hope everything goes well. Keep in touch!

I must admit that I have given in to the myspace addiction that is rapidly spreading, sorry xanga. So if you have myspace you can look me up. In less than two weeks I am heading out to the great city of Los Angeles! And I am uber excited about it! I have only five more days of working at Culvers! I can't believe that this summer has gone by so fast, I really haven't done anything besides working. I think I was supposed to paint a masterpiece and write a novel, among other things, but guess what didn't happen. I'm hoping that I will be more motivated once school starts.

I just went to the movie Talledega Nights and it was exactly how I thought it would be: overall dumb and pathetically funny. I could go more into my evaluation but I won't just because it really does not matter.

No real news here. Enjoy the rest of the summer!
