see relatedI will start with the sweet: My great friend Ken is engaged, he now has a fiancée.
So like all good PHC friends, we put him in the lake. They are cute. They are sweet. The Bitter: it is always sad to say good bye. I've never been good at it. I read somewhere once (maybe it was CS Lewis) that it is so hard for people to say good bye because we were not designed for it. I don't know if that is true, but it is still brings that knot in the stomach. God is always faithful and never leaves us, but that feeling is still there when His tools leave.
Thank you dear friends, for being dear friends.

I like C.S.Lewis thought. Isn't that the part of heart of Christian hope? We don't have to say goodbye... Only, "See you in the morning..."
One of the elders at our church used to say at hard goodbyes,
"I'll see you here, there, or in the air..."
I missed it!!!!!
*sniffle*
Regarding Ken and Emily

Regarding goodbyes, I like Lewis's explanation. The thing about goodbyes, though, is that the hello is somehow worth it.
Ken is happy, which makes me happy
Missing you Buddy, Don't get too lonely and enjoy your wonderful family this Christmas
Hey, at least you and I will be back for New Year's Eve... We really should do something together that night. Let me know if you find out if church is having something.
I like "See you later" a lot better.
