I just got back from a martyr’s funeral.

see relatedStephanie and Rachel Works were killed at New Life Church ten days ago by a gunman whose motive was hate for Christians. Those girls could have been PHC students, they were the type that everyone looks up to in a homeschool group. They had a heart for God, their family, and their friends. The stories about how they pointed their best friends to God and inspired them to see God's Will manifest in their lives are beautiful.

Thank you for sharing. Their death was tragic and the situation at NLC is sad... but I know that the tragedy is paled beyond recognition in the glory of God that awaited those girls. God bless the Works family and New Life Church.
I'm so glad they were women of God. May God bless and keep their family close to his heart, where they can feel him most.
praying for your church
Like the young woman who died at Columbine, this continues to make me think about how our lives have a pre-set number of days to be lived, and they may not add up to grey hairs, grandkids and the health struggles of old age.
I'm glad you were able to come back for the funeral Jeremiah. I saw part of it on the news yesterday. Did you personally know the girls who died? My thoughts and prayers go out to their family.
Yes they are.
I'm grateful for examples like theirs.
Always, even in the midst of tragedy, God is good.
