 | Currently Listening 40 Acres By Caedmon's Call Where I began, Table for Two, Petrified Heart see related |
Last Christmas I picked up a Caedmon's Call CD at the bookstore because I was looking for new music and knew that some of my family and friends liked Caedmon's Call. I wasn't really picky about the CD, I picked the oldest one they had there, 40 Acres, both because it was cheaper and because I like to know how a popular group like Caedmon's Call gets popular. I wasn't super impressed with what I found, it had some interesting songs, but all-in-all it wasn't the best. I put it in my iTunes and shelved the CD.
Over the last two days this CD has had several songs that have really hit me where I am. It is really interesting how God moves through things that you have already dismissed.
Anyway, I thought it was cool.

I love it when God uses such everyday things like iTunes to speak to us.
"when God moves through things you've already dismissed" sounds to me like the sermon from Pastor Gary on not writing certain people out of the kingdom....
that is cool.
Two weeks ago I was listening to the radio and four songs in a row hit me in that same way, I wrote them down and bought them off of iTunes...
"God moves through things we've already dismissed." Mhm!
I have found the same thing to be true for me. Its also like God's word, sometimes certain verse or passages that we have read over and over don't hit us until a certain time of need, a season of pain or time of decision in our lives...
I love it when the Lord shows himself in small ways... Which aren't really small at all. :)
