I AM OFFICIALLY DONE WITH MY FIRST YEAR OF COLLEGE!!!!!!

Sunday, April 30, 2006

What a fantastic end to the weekend.  Steve Minegar came over to partake in my "religious" experience, as he calls it, of watching the West Wing.  So sad, only two episodes left and then I'm probably going to cancel my cable subscription.  We then went to the Moore mansion for praise and worship.  I cannot really say how amazing these people are up here.  I was thinking how "ironical" it was that this group of people are so wonderful that we could do something as diverse as go to a country line dancing club on one night and then turn around another night and have just as much fun, if not more, singing praises to our great God in Heaven.  Singing, cookies, and I even waltzed w/ RHous for the first time in a long time (I've still got the box down!).  Anyway, one final left on Tuesday, administrative work and then Formal night on Wednesday.  Home on Thursday to leave the next week for RUF Summer conference.  Hope everyone is doing well.  Anybody going to the Street Dance in two weeks???

Wow it really has been a heck of a week.  I promised Mooch I would update, so here goes.  Monday night I pulled my first all-nighter for no other reason than to just do it.  Had a blast cooking breakfast for Mooch and RHous at 3:00am.  Great conversation, mainly principles of dating, which has carried over into other settings throughout the week which was also fun.  Missed a final quiz on Tuesday, got to make it up though, haha.  Stayed up really really ridiculously late again on Tuesday night, that time writing a paper though.  Wednesday, last day of classes for my first year in college.  Chopstix with a huge group that night to celebrate and then on to the movies to see The Sentinel.  Thursday, actually slept in until high noon, a new record for me.  Thursday was the RUF end of the year party followed by the some of the group going to 8 Seconds, the country line dancing club here in the Ville.  Yes, my first club experience, and it actually went better than I thought that it was going to.  Friday, dinner w/ Mooch, RHous, & ERod at Leonardo's followed by late night group "studying."  Today was my first of two finals and then dinner at theruff's house followed by a wicked crazy game of Risk.  I think there was more I was supposed to tell ya'll but its too late and I'm too tired right now so I will talk to ya'll soon.

First final tonight.  Microeconomics.  UGHHH.  I'll be so glad to have it done w/.

MY FIRST ALL-NIGHTER!!!  I have now been up for over 24 hours.  The great thing is is that usually these all-nighters constitute being overly stressed about work but, this one did not involve a huge amount of stress/work.  I went to the Ox last night about 10:40 for a nightcap and stayed there till about 2:30ish.  I thought that I was going to have to labor away on a group assignement but the rest of the group came through quicker than expected.  So, RHous and Michelle Santos came over to my place and I made breakfast for the three of us.  Very insightful discussion about life/relational issues which was very good for all of us to hear.  It's around 6:30 and they just left so now I shall start my new day.  Class at 9:35, discount book sale at high noon, and exam tonight at 5:10.  I'm pretty awake which has shocked most people I know who have never known me to stay up working past my personal limit of 11:30.  Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well and I hope to be able to update soon on whether or not I made it through today alive or if I had a caffeine heart attack late in the day.  Talk to you soon (hopefully).
