Goodnight Sweethearts

I am going to say goodbye to blogging here on Xanga. It's been a good run, but I seem to be focusing my blogging energies on blogspot now and the rest of my time on Facebook.  So, I highly encourage you to find me at one of those locations.  I will still check my Xanga feed, of course.

Yes We Can!

Though I'm not one who's big on propoganda, I like Barack Obama  so I LOVE this video.  Yes We Can!!!

Ode to strangers, Caleb and Jared

Today Zack and I went to the Museum of Natural History at Central Park. Zack has a friend from college who works there and he hooked us up with free passes to 3 special exhibits:  "Cosmic Collisions" - a video in the planetarium, "H2O=Life" - a walk-through exhibit about the world's water (it was fantastic!), and "Dinosaurs Alive" - an IMAX movie all about dinosaur excavations in the Gobi Desert and in New Mexico. It was such a nice day.  A wee bit cold, but not terrible.  We got off the subway on the east side and walked across the park (Zack got us lost, but I led us the right way).  We saw so many joggers, found an entire section of the park we haven't seen before, and several awesome birds.  Convinced for the last two years that pidgeons had killed all interesting birds off and taken over, I basically stopped caring about birds until we went to Costa Rica. Now I LOVE them!

We also found a neat car...

And finally arrived at the museum.  This brings me to the dedication.  There was a day when my little bro and my little cousins LOVED dinosaurs.  My brother could name each one of them with amazing amounts of detail and descriptions.  My cousins had books and pajamas and toys, etc with dinosaurs.  But now we're all grown up (or almost there) and nobody likes dinosaurs anymore, at least not with the fervor of their youth.  It's a bit sad because Adam (little bro) was soooooo cute when he would tell me about it back in the day.  So, in addition to trying to relive those fond memories I thought of Sarah's dino-lovers as I get so much enjoyment out of seeing them love their "dinos" the way the boys in my family did.  Caleb and Jared, I took two pictures of the dino sculptures in front of the museum, one for each of you, but since Xanga will only let me upload one, you'll have to share for now!  (I hope to post the other another day).
