| Happy Anniversary!Steve and I celebrated our 20th anniversary this week. We went to Chadd's Ford, PA, and to the Brandywine Museum. We went out to a very nice dinner in Wilmington, and then back to the hotel, which was also very nice.
Today, we were just lounging around, getting ready to go to the Brandywine Battlefield, when we got a phone call from our good friends, Bob and Reta Douglas. They were working with Sojourners at Camp Manatawny! So, we went there instead of the battlefield. They took us out to lunch and we spent the afternoon with them. Convertible roads home! : )
Now, we're all home (except Tom, who is at a friend's house). We did get a message from Emily that she is safely in Alotau, PNG. We were VERY excited to get her email!
| RemindersSo, I thought I'd let you know periodically what reminds me of Emily. Today (day 1), it was following her former school bus into the neighborhood, its lights flashing yellow. I'm SO glad those days are over!
Today was extremely busy--both Steve and I started teaching our classes at Towle. Mine started one way and turned into something completely different! Ah well, lots of work ahead this week.
| Beginning the AdventureTomorrow Emily leaves for PNG. It should be an exciting adventure for her and all of us too! She's still packing tonight, even though she leaves at 6 a.m. What's new?
Tomorrow I also start my journalism class at Towle and begin the homeschooling year for the others. Where will I find time for stamping?
| I love art, and today I finished painting the set background for our play. Emily and I did, actually. And Julia. The rest of the co-op did most of it, though. I got to add the color!
Today we are cleaning out the basement storage area. Dusty! It is always good to throw lots of stuff out. And Emily is at the grocery store, so how bad can life be?
