Tuesday evening our churches really stepped up to the plate to show their support of students in missions. Though many of these churches and pastors have a lot of requests for offerings and have financial needs in their churches already... together they gave and committed
$42,349.50 toward our evangelism efforts in El Salvador this next summer!
That puts us within
$8,000.00 of our total project.
I would like to thank
Jay Mooney, our national youth director, for his time and inspiring message. An incredible leader and man of God!
Special thanks as well to Bethel Assembly of God for providing the sound system, the youth pastors and leaders who helped with setup and clean up, the churches and pastors that took the time in advance to share the vision with their church, and all of those who gave sacrificially. We would also like to send our thanks to
BGMC for sending $3,500.00 towards this goal, and for our sponsoring schools
Trinity Bible College and
North Central University for sponsoring a portion of the banquet and contributing $600.00 (combined) towards our project.
Though we still have about $8,000.00 to go, I feel very confident that the Lord will assist us in bringing it in.
