I've run out of witty titles, and now I'm just going to ramble...

Today was beautiful (weather-wise) in Manhattan.  I finally got some decent sleep without being chased in my dreams by some psychotic creature, as I typically am.  While walking back to Mike's place (with Michael), we stopped at a postcard rack and bought, you guessed it, NYC postcards featuring the World Trade Center twin towers.  I know it seems tacky, but I thought it might be nice to remind people of what the skyline used to look like.  It's not like I'm keeping them for myself.  I planned on mailing them out to friends, since it seems like I'll be in the city for a few more days, at least.

Tonight, while walking home from dinner, I decided that instead of walking on the sidewalk, I'd stroll down the middle of Fifth Avenue.  Everything below 14th Street is closed off, and when else am I going to have the opportunity to walk down Fifth Avenue, unencumbered by wanton taxis without being part of a parade?  Regardless, I felt the need to do it, and thusly I did.

I'm still awaiting word as to when I can actually get the hell out of dodge.  New York area airports were closed again today.  It remains to be seen if enough stability exists to get me out on my Saturday flight.  Cross your fingers.
