As I type this my upstairs neighbor, in our backyard, is asking Holly how she's doing, what she's been up to and what she's got in her mouth.  If you think that last one is an odd question, this might explain it: Holly is my next-door neighbor's English Bulldog puppy, and is probably at a loss for answers since she is a dog and therefore cannot speak.

I know what you're thinking, everyone talks to their pets.  Well, this goes a bit beyond the norm.  For one thing, it happens all the time, regardless of who might be around, and what time of day or night.  He speaks to his dog Rocky in a similar fashion.  Since my bedroom faces the backyard, which doubles as Rocky's toilet, I hear everything.  It's a portrait Norman Rockwell forgot to paint; "Some Moron Conversing With His Dog" - in oils!
