It's been awhile since I updated my Xanga. I put it to rest when word spread that people were getting fired for content on their personal sites. I didn't post anything I was ashamed of but I felt it was better to be safe than sorry.

Now that I live 200 miles from home, I think it's time to revive my Xanga to remind some of my friends that I am still alive.

In past years, I took it upon myself to suggest holiday gift ideas. Some received my suggestions better than others. While some took it for what it was, a suggestion, some took it personally. Thanks to a certain few, I no longer feel this same vocation. That's fine. Now that there's Gifts.com, I don't have anything more to offer. I've been browsing through the site and it's basically a glorified ad-site where products are categorized by personalities (rather than price, popularity, ratings, etc), which isn't a bad thing. It's a clever idea and someone out there is making a decent buck. It's somewhat handicapped by its own capitalism. For instance, Brookstone and Amazon are prominently featured while smaller boutiques are not. But no matter how you slice it, gifts.com is worth a visit. Even if it fails to come up with the perfect gift, it gets your brain fired in the right direction.
