  • Yes, No, Maybe, I don't know....

I have been worrying myself sick over a situation that is completely out of my control. I've lost weight over it (that's a good thing, but not very healthy), I can't sleep longer than a couple of hours and I drag at work. Then I get home last night and "someone" rips into a video and a note I'd left up here for Megan....(long story and really noone's business, sorry ). I was highly upset...just before I fell asleep I was listening to Spirit 105.3 (that radio station can calm an axe murderer ...trust me ) the song that's playing now (if you can't hear it, it's by Jaci Velasquez...."I Get on my Knees") came on the radio and this entire situation came into focus for me. I prayed like I've never prayed. Pray, cry, pray, cry and its funny because I started thinking "why are you whining, why are you going against everything you've ever told anyone about worrying, and look at you, shame on you." I slept a couple hours and woke up thinking "there is no way" I am going to let someone and something run me off a blog I love writing on. If you attack me, so what...just leave Megan alone. Deal?
I'm going to repost the video...I can't recreate the note to you Megan, sorry sweet friend...but you know what? That 2 hour nap was God's wake up call and you were right in what you said in the message....love you!

MEGAN...CLICK ON MY VIDEOS and play "the kooks I work with"
If it doesn't show up? I'll send it in email

I'm going to go to work and my boss is going to think "what on earth is wrong with this girl? Sad Trish, happy Trish, sad Trish, happy Trish," he's going to think he hired a derranged lunatic...lol. Oh who cares, look at what he does for fun (the video).

P.S.  Provoking_thought......welcome to Tricia 101....sit down and hold on.

And John? Forget the text....I have a plan . I put my hand on the bible and swear you'll like it. I just hope it doesn't rain. The forecast say's "overcast with no rain"....lol...it'll snow

(I switched the song before leaving for work.......next to listening to a guitar being played 24/7, I LOVE a good saxaphone player.

  • The Game of Ten Temptations....

I was on Mooncatblues blog and asked her to give me a letter....she gave me "H"... that's a hard one , here goes.....I'm wondering now...are these things we love? Or thing's we're tempted by? hmmm....I'll go with 'things we love'.

    1. Heaven.....can't wait to get there.
    2. Harley Davidson's....I love the bikes but they scare me. I tried to hold one up just "sitting" there....they're BIG and I'm not so big.
    3. Hermits...I've been accused of being one. I just love solitude
    4. Hiking...I "love" the trails around here. Mt. Si is my favorite. Mt. St. Helens a second favorite.
    5. Hippies.....hippies are cool. Wish I lived in the era, but then again I don't. I liked their free way of thinking? But not their free way of "being".
    6. Holidays.....my favorite is Easter.
    7. Home....where I feel safe.
    8. Hugs....they feel so nice
    9. Honey...tastes great on toast, also a cool name
    10. History...we'd be nowhere without it.

Ask me for a letter.....this sounds like fun!

  • Electrical Storm

I've spent the last 3 hours trying to get online...lol. I got in to answer Rob (Swordandsacrifice) and then boom...nothing. We had the storm to end all storms come over my house and it zapped everything in it's path. It was awesome!

    http://www.kirotv.com/weather/17292923/detail.html

If I could have any job in the world it would be a storm chaser. I love storms!!! I sit out on my porch and watch them all the time, but this one? I stayed inside with the door open. They broke in on Judge Judy....lol...(can I hear a collective "oh good"? lol) with the news telling everyone in Renton and East to "get inside". Lightning bolts were hitting Lake Washington (3 miles from my house), and had hit the I-405/I-167 interchange (even closer). I only saw one funnel cloud, but they said there were 3 or more. Pretty cool!

In case it comes back....I owe John this.....

    (1) John is always right. (2) John is always right. (3) John is always right. (4) John is always right. (5) John is always right. (6) John is always right. (7) John is always right. (8) John is always right. (9) John is always right. (10) John is always right.

John and I got into a text message comment-of-comments where I thought that there were more Starbucks in Portland, and he said there were more in Seattle. To make a long story short, he was right and I was wrong and NO I AM NOT always right..I'm not, I'm not, I'm not .  There are 78 Starbucks in Seattle to Portland's 43. Ok, ok, almost 50%, but hey, not quite. Out of those...per Rob's calculations.....17 were closed in Seattle and 6 in Portland, which makes it 61 to 26....lol....a big difference . Looks like Starbucks is on it's way out of the Portland area. SOMEONE is going to have to drive South if the trend keeps up
Today at work kind of ticked me off. They haven't aquired 2-way radios, so they think they can call our cellphones to get ahold of us when we're out in the field. These are our "personal" cellphones. I do have a radio that conects me to dispatch, but my bosses don't...they can easily get off their fannies and walk into dispatch to call us.
I refuse to answer my cellphone  (unless it's friend or family) if I don't recognize the number, unless I know someone is going to call. And I really refuse work numbers. We have a state law now where we will get a $124 ticket if we're caught on our cellphones without a bluetooth contraption (I hate them but will wear one when I'm driving), but work doesn't care. Nope, they aren't going to reimburse us our minutes either. So, unless they put in writing that they are going to reimburse me my minutes on my cellphone plan, I won't answer. Matt...the butthead from the Seattle office called me 5 times in a 7 minute period. I was driving, I didn't answer. On my way home he tried to call me, I was driving, I didn't answer. I don't have my voicemail set up yet...purely forgetfulness (tricia does not know or remember everything..lol) so he couldn't leave a message. Then my friend Marvin called. Told me that Matt was "pissed off" because I refused his phone calls. Ahhh bummer. That was just the crux to my day.
There was a 4th wreck today. 3 on Friday, 1 today....oh joy, oh joy, oh joy. I don't mind investigating wrecks, I just don't like the drama that comes with them. The excuses, the reasons, the b.s. basically. On Friday we had a trainee take out a road sign and wipe out the entire side of a 45 foot bus (only $3700 to redo the entire decal....come on, let him off the hook...lol), yet, he was watching the road and his mirrors and "that sign was in the wrong place." Sure dude, whatever you say .
I have "the faith" though. I also have tomorrow off.
Some good news......I was standing outside talking to some drivers and Marty (one of the bosses) came up to me with a paper folded in half, hands it to me like it's top secret....I got my November days off approved. I get to go to Vancouver and then Portland. Watch out Meggie Mae....we're doing lunch
I'm off to read blogs.....and once again John......yes, I grumbly, I mean humbly admit....you were right

P.S. Michelle Obama makes me want to bury my head in sand.

  • rarely am i right :p
