Adhearus Banner Ad

Have you seen a little banner ad by Adhearus pop up at the bottom of your site ruining the look of your site?  Want to get rid of it?  Turns out, a few webcounter sites (coolcounters.com and xangahits.com) started to sneak in these ads.  These ads are not supported by Xanga and are installed by these webcounter codes. 

To remove these ads, go into the Website Stats section of your Look and Feel:

• http://www.xanga.com/CLAF

and find the Coolcounters or Xangahits counter code and delete it!  Best thing to do is to find a new site for a counter (ex. http://www.sitemeter.com or any counter that doesn't sneak in ads.)  Once you do that, the extra ad banner at the bottom will be gone and you'll have a fresh counter to keep track of your visitors!

Other Ad problems?
We try our best to keep the ads on your site to a minimum - Classic users should only have a banner advertisement at the top of their site.  Premium users, should not have any advertisements on their site at all.  If you are seeing extra advertisements on your site, it may be a code that was installed in your Look and Feel (ex. a chat module).  Best thing to do is to remove that code.   We also recommend the regular use of anti-spyware programs to clean out hidden ad programs on your computer as well.
