| | I'm sitting in the Boston airport right now. I have to go
home. Which stinks. A lot. I didn't want to leave
Maine. It's too pretty there.
We hiked Penobscot on Tuesday. It was rainy and foggy. I'm
sure there would have been a great view, but we couldn't see it.
Then Dad and I hiked to Bubble Rock, which is a huge boulder perched on
the edge of a cliff. It was really cool, but still rainy and
foggy.
Wednesday we hiked Great Head trail, which runs close to the shore and
down low, so we could see some stuff (still rainy and foggy) Then
we went and saw Bass Harbor lighthouse. We got back to Bar
Harbor, and it was low tide so we walked out across the sand bar to Bar
Island. We hiked to the "summit" (yes, we got a picture ^_^) and
there was a beautiful view.
Thursday it cleared up. We hiked Acadia Mountain and Mt. St.
Sauveur. We had more beautiful views, but we didn't pack enough
water. oops.
Friday we hiked Cadillac Mt. up the north ridge and down the
south. Again, the views were stunning. We took plenty of
time to enjoy it. It was really discouraging, though, because
people can drive to the top, so we got to the top and a bunch of people
who hadn't hiked were walking around. Gah.
More later, we'll be boarding soon.
