my july 4th:
i spent the majority of independence day at the east river. i
went there to play soccer for the first time. it was so much fun. i
scored 4 goals and played some awesome defense. it feels so good to
score a goal or to just take the ball away from someone. i played for a
total of 6 hours and basically collapsed when i got home. i've
found a new hobby. i'll have to put up a pic of my shiny golden
ball too.
i've never been that close to the river for the fireworks on july
4th. that was cool too. there were some low flying
helicopters with some swat guys waving to the crowd with one hand and
weilding a machine gun with the other. and some A-10 warthogs
flew by in formation. there were people selling mangos on a stick
and italian ices for cheap.
all in all, it was one of the best independence days i've ever had.
