I don't know how I should feel

I just noticed that I had 4 footprints to my xanga site, so I checked to see where/what they were from.

Apparently, several years ago, I did a blog and typed in "The Drunks Prayer".

My site is now the number 3 listing for it on google search.

I hate moving

I've been working on moving all week.  Actually, I've been working on moving for about 6 months now, but this week it has actually been happening.

I finally got the house Tuesday, and spent most of Wednesday getting it in "ready to move in" condition.  Got some stuff moved Wednesday as well, and some stuff moved today.  Tomorrow (Friday) I have several people who have said they will come help me move, so maybe I can get everything out by mid-afternoon.

Then its just a matter of getting everything put away where it will all go.  To begin with.  There is still some work I'll have to do on the house, so even when I get stuff put up/away, it is only temporary until I finish the remodeling that has to happen.

And, I leave Sunday for a 6-week job, so I won't be around to do anything.  Joy.

I need either lots more hours in the day, days in the week, or maybe just an uninterrupted supply of coke.  That might work.

Favorite movie line

I know I'm a bit late on the bandwagon, but I was reminded of this line this afternoon.

"He <J. Edgar Hoover> is on everyone else's phone, why not mine?"  - Clue, the Butler (Tim Curry)

Should gay marriage be legalized? Why or why not?

Personally, I feel there are two completely different views on marriage.  No, not the "gay vs. straight" view, but the legal vs. religious view.

As a legal institution, marriage is nothing more than a binding contract between two people, allowing certain rights, duties, and responsibilities to be shared among the individuals and recognized as such by the civil community at large.

Religiously, is a whole 'nother story, and I feel that is where the problem lies.  Legal marriage should not discriminate between gay, straight, hermaphrodite, or fish.  Religious organizations should be allowed to perform the relgious ceremony only on those couples whom they feel 'fit' the particular desription of marriage as outlined in their own holy books.

I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!
