Like a common thread, oh you're pulling me
Hmmm, I realized that there are 48 days of Lent this year. Unless Lent ends on Palm Sunday, instead of Easter. I'm not too sure with the actual calendar year, so you'll have to excuse my lack of knowledge on the Catholic faith. All I know is that I was already confirmed and since then, I haven't done much with the church. I feel bad, but thing happen. I need to do something to show my love for Jesus again. Aside from the winter shelter I helped out at earlier this month, I need to serve God more. Is this a religious blog entry? Probably. Oh well.
So, I'm done with 6 days out of the 48. Forty-two to go, kids. Forty-two. Lent ends RIGHT before Spring Break. I didn't know Lent would be so long. But if Jesus can go 40 days & nights into a desert, fasting the whole time, I think I can go without Myspace, Facebook, etc etc etc. Okay, The ROTC Military ball is THIS WEEK. I didn't know I'd be so hyped. I've got it all ready... let me be materialistic for a minute... my dress is AWESOME :) Well, at least I think so. I know it'll come and go sooner than I hope, but that's how it always is. Lets hope its a great night, and not a repeat of last year's Ring Dance fiasco. If you haven't heard that story, I'll be glad to retell it. Actually, how about I just give you the gist of the story:
Ryann + asked out date + he said yes + they went to the dance + he was cool but didn't dance b/c of lame excuses + last 10 min of dance he was grinding on someone else = sadness for Ryann + broken, now awkward, friendship.
And that's the end to that story...
On a brighter note, I've vowed to ignore a select few of people for personal reasons. Let's just say, I'm tired of being stepped on. I had a similar epiphany, like this, in early January. I acted upon the epiphany, & it ended poorly. But hey, let me just say I'm taking up my past resolutions.. just to a lesser extent. It's gonna lead to ultimate happiness. For me, of course. At least I think it will. Okay, enough. I'll post tomorrow or something.
