  • " Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners— of whom I am the worst." 1 Tim.1:15

Simply put, I am a sinner.
A sinner full of stains, cracks, faults, and flaws.
A sinner worth less than the scum of the earth beneath.
Too stained to be a saint.

I'm not sure why I try so hard to erase my sins by my own strengths.
Probably because I feel like I am responsible for them all.
Probably because asking a blameless person to take the punishment for them is embarrassing.
    Too ashamed to surrender.

A sinner who can't seem to stop returning to the same point of collapse every day.
All the sin I've racked up on my tally sheet qualifies me for the Devil's Advocate.
All the sin I'm piling up has me soiled to the point of no escape.
    Too weak to resist.

It's too humiliating to admit or confess about.

But with all the complications that sin brings, salvation brings its complex simplicity.

    Nonjudgmental forgiveness.
    Mountain-moving faith.
    Never-ending love.

"Sin's masterpiece of shame and hate became God's masterpiece of mercy and forgiveness: The Cross."
    -- Billy Graham
