Work is teaching me a lot about power struggles.
Bossman's leaving and the quest for his position has turned some pretty people into some rather ugly people. It's not necessarily that they are being mean. They are being more demanding and throwing unnecessary loads on employees adding to our already heavy burdens.

Driving in silence is the most disturbing thing now.
Not because my thoughts are so loud and invading. No, it's much more simple than that. It's because my car is making some of the funniest (and scariest) sounds I've ever heard. It's like dragging a bunch of dogs under the car while simultaneously running over a bunch of rats repeatedly. It's scary. As if the broken windshield, cracked driver's side door and the check engine light wasn't enough.
Ah. The joys of realizing I really, really need a new car.
Why won't John Mayer and Cate Blanchett come out with their own fragrances? I go to the perfume counter and all I see are Usher, Sean John, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Beyonce and J-Lo. Where's Kevin Spacey? Matt Damon? Charlize Theron? Meryl Streep?
I only say this because I am so ashamed to promote Britney Spears' fragrances. They're really good.

i think one of us once had glasses by britney a few years ago... hey, it was the most decent thing they had for that the cheap insurance would completely cover!
