Blood red

THIS :

Rit Dye concoctions 001

is what happens when a 4 year old gets hold of your stash of Rit Dye(scarlet, golden yellow, fuschia and tan), thinks it's Kool Aid or Jello (I think that's what he thought) and mixes it all together.

It's very BRIGHT. And I like it. I do believe it's going to be created into:

mon+quick+to+felt+gifts+2+c

One or more of these. The red and yellow ones are just delightful are they not? I might even squeeze enugh out of them to make the business card holder for my Mom. She likes bright. And I think the color is stunning enough to make it into the Lion Brand sweater coat Danbury:

Click on the photo for the free pattern. I've been drooling over the pattern for AGES, but never really liked the colors available in Lion Brand Wool-Ease Chunky. I can buy a bulky wool from knitpicks and dye it Blood red and then knit it. Whoo hoo!

Ah the joys of children who experiment.

How pretty! I love bright colors, too, and it's sometimes difficult to find a red that rich and bright. Maybe I need my own child color mixer. :)
