| | Gave myself a break after two midterms.
I watched the Mad Hot Ballroom.
I never cry for a movie. But I was surprised by myself that I cried when I was watching this movie!
It's a documentary film about compulsory ballroom classes in all five grade kids in Manhattan.
The kids were doing freakingly good, REAL GOOD, much better than my ballroom classmates here!
They had quarterfinals, semifinals and finals and one of the schools won the challege trophy. The competition was held in Manhattan Financial Center, right at the center of the lobby! You can see how serious they were!
Dancing made street kids back to school, made problematic kids become gentlemen.
I WAS SO TOUCHED! |
