| I say it's time for a new post.
I want to get a job, save up some money, and when summer comes I'll just travel around and see all the bands I've always wanted to see. Anyone with me? Ahhh what a summer that would be...
Ben Folds will be in Tulsa on Novemeber the 4th.
I'm sorry I'm on such a music/concert binge lately. I know that of the 5 people that read this, at least 4 of you don't really care. Buy hey, my journal, yeah?
Oooh Central vs. Conway game this Friday. I generally don't care that much about foooseball but a mini AGS reunion is taking place of homecoming that night. I couldn't think of a better replacement for such a silly dance. So I'm excited about that.
gaaaah this is a boring update. apologies.
and I still have ze trig to finish. so farewell all.
EDIT!!!!!! OH MY GOSH. I VERY MAY WELL GET TO SEE BEN FOLDS LIVE. WAAAAAAAAH! my mom is so fucking cool. shizzzz. gaaaah I hope I hope this happens. I mean, watch the guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-G4Z8vG8wW0 you can't help but love him. And man that'd be a fun show. wheeee!

| Edit:: This post is rediculously long. If you don't read it all, I do not blame you. I basically just say MUSE ARE AWESOME over and over again.
Ok so, I am going to attempt to describe the absolute awesomeness of the Muse concert in detail. Here we go.
Set List Knights of Cydonia Hysteria Supermassive Black Hole Butterflies and Hurricanes Map of the Problimatique Invincible Startlight Plug in Baby House of the Rising Sun interlude/intrumental Assassin (Debase Solo) Stockholm Syndrome ---------break Apocalypse Please Soldier's Poem Feeling Good Take a Bow
I wrote a very detailed account of the night on the plane ride back, but I did it really fast and I don't feel like rewriting it all in a more coherent form at the moment. So I'll just tell you the highlights of the night...there are a lot of them..
-Before the show, I met three very cool guys from Chicago. I'm so glad I got to meet them because otherwise, I would have been standing around for 3 hours before the show by myself. If I ever get to do this again, I'm going definitley make sure I can bring a friend.
-Matt, Dom, and Chris all stepped out onto the stage and the whole place just erupted with cheers. Then they started into Knights of Cydonia and we all went completely insane and started jumping around and singing along. ahhh, great way to start a show. The only bad thing was that by that time, I had been standing up for 3 hours, I was dehydrated, and HOT. Gosh damn, it was hot. I wanted to go get some water, but I knew that if I gave up my place in the pit, there would be no going back. At least not that close to the stage (I was about 5 or 6 rows back at first).
-I'm pretty small so once they started playing, I started getting pushed to the back but Andrew (one of the guys from Chicago) grabbed me and pushed me in front of him and made sure I didn't get crushed or fall down the whole time. I thought that was very nice of him. He's quite pretty as well! tehe.
-EVERYONE singing along to Time is Running Out. I think we may have drowned out Matt! Seriously, just about everyone in there sang that song. It was awesome.
-When we all clapped along with Starlight perfectly. so beautiful.
-Trying to actually dance during Supermassive Black Hole
-The first few seconds of every song when the crowd recognizes the song and goes crazy
-The House of the Rising Sun riff right after Plug in Baby...sooooo great.
-Matt's excellent piano playing/improvised "let's bang on the keys but still make it sound fucking awesome" solo in Butterflies and Hurricanes
-Feeling Good in general. I saw Matt sit down at the piano and grab the megaphone and I was like oh heeeelllls yes. let's go. Most people who knew the words sang along to this one as well. Heh, and the guys beside me trying to imitate the megaphone noise/singing part was pretty great. At the end of the song, Matt threw a hand full of confetti up! hehe I loved it.
-When the band walked off stage during the break pretty much everyone chanted Muse over and over until they got back. They returned with Apocalpyse Please and we all went crazy again.
-EVERYONE going completely mental during the riffs in Stockholm Syndrome, Hysteria, Plug in Baby, and Assassin. And during those mental moments, the entire pit jumping up and down collectivley. Most Excellent.
-Swaying back and forth during Soldier's Poem with Andrew and everyone else...such a beautiful song and a beautiful moment.
-The lights. Those guys have an excellent light tech...at one point, there were these really neat white lights making cool patterns over everything, and during Take a Bow, they had these awesome lights projecting kind of ripple effect lights in orange, blue, and red on the back wall and crowd. I'd just look back and see this sea of color and people. Very neat.
-TAKE A BOW. It was the last song sadly, but amazing all the same. Even more so because it was the last song I do believe. The whole song was awesome, but especially at the end where the guitar and matt are screaming and Dom is banging the drums relentlessly, and Chris is shredding the bass...I don't know how to describe it.
-Finally seeing Matt rock out with the guitar live.
-Finally seeing Dom hit those drums like a fucking madman live.
-Finally seeing Chris doing his signature head bang live. -Being around so many other Muse fans was probably about the best feeling ever. For that time, I didn't care about anything...I wasn't self conscious at all, I wasn't stressing about what the future would bring, I was just there in the music..Just to be a part of that...and to feel the crowds energy and the band's amazing amount of energy and passion was..indescribable.
-I love this band and I am so thankful I got to see them live.
My pictures are all on facebook, but I'll put the better ones up here later for those of you who do not have facebook.
