What are your thoughts on going vegetarian or vegan?
Currently Listening: Best of the Mamas & the Papas I could easily go to vegetarian. I don't eat a lot of meat simply because I don't like it. I like my hot dogs and hamburgs but could give them up. But I really wouldn't want to give up chicken, turkey, scallops and shrimp. So vegan is a no.

I haven't been spending a whole lot of time on the puter. Don't want my summer to pass me by. Last Saturday we went to a surprise party for our friend Judy , who will be turning 60 in Sept., her children live out of state and this was the only time they could get home , so that's why the party was 2 months early. And boy was it ever a surprise. It was an outdoor bbq at a local park. Sunday was spent doing yard work in the earlier part of the day and a late lunch at the Fish Hook.
This weekend we went to Mystic on Saturday. The Aquarium first, then the seaport. We did a crap load of walking and it was very hot. It was also a very expensive outting. I hadn't been to the aquarium in years and the admission is now 23.00 for an adult. And admission to the seaport is 18.50. That's apiece. We had breakfast in Easthampton before we left and then dinner at the Seamans resturant and pub in Mystic. Round trip was about 240 miles. Today we are laying low. We had a lot of rain and the yard hasn't dried yet. I was hoping to get some mowing done. I did move some plants around and put in 3 new ones but it is hot and humid so I'm cooling off now.
My brother is doing the family history, so Thursday after work I went to the Village Hill cemetry to find our grandparents. We also found our greatgrandparents and our great great grandparents. I should say he found them. I was along for the ride.
My phoebe's eggs hatched and I can watch her feed the babies from my dining room window. Their starting to get pretty fuzzy but still just grey. And it's amazing what big mouths they have.

...vegetarians can't eat scallops or turkey either...
this will probably sound quite patronizing but i'm not intending it to.
you seem a bit confused. vegetarians cannot eat poultry and fish. being a vegetarian doesn't mean excluding red meat it means excluding all animal flesh. someone who eats chicken but not beef would be a pestitarian, and that would more likely be for health reasons than moral concern. a vegan is someone who neither consumes or uses any animal product, from meat to dairy to honey to wool.

Sounds like you're getting some fun in there. It's so beautiful down to Mystic but yeah $$. We're making another trip to the shore next weekend when we take the kids to the airport for their trip to Seattle. Since we're about halfway there already why not. LOL about your comment. We grabbed coffee on the way up there and had breakfast after. Found a good spot in Turners Falls that had a tasty breakfast. Hope you're staying reasonably cool cause we're sure not.

Sorry but no way could I give up my ribeyes...Hot dog choice for me is bar-s sausage,, My gosh its good and inexpensive to boot..Scallops I could eat my weight in ..Good to see yall going out to the aquarium etc and thumbs up to your brother on doing the familly tree history ...Thanks for stopping by and let me know when you (( retire)) the dogs can be shipped.. Man I love my little pug.. The queens and kings made them popular .. They are concidered royalty and I can see why .. Have a great week and I will post soon ..
